Nassau / Paradise Island
The 14th century Augustinian Cloister in the Versailles styled gardens on Paradise Island was brought to The Bahamas in the 1920's and has been a hit for weddings in The Bahamas ever since. Nassau Botanical Gardens, as well as Ardastra Gardens and Zoo - famous for its pink flamingos – are also favourites to visit.

Grand Bahama Island
A great way to dip into the local scene after the excitement of weddings in The Bahamas is to join the weekly fish fry evenings on the stunning, pristine Taino Beach. If you're feeling more adventurous, head for Gold Rock Creek and paddle your kayak through the mangroves, past the sand dunes, to the picturesque and deserted Gold Rock Beach.

The Abacos
Soak up the beautiful views after a rewarding climb to the top of Hope Town's 120ft striped lighthouse. Hire a golf cart, or a small outboard boat, or just potter around the cays - there are plenty of secluded beaches, ideal for Bahamas weddings, just waiting to be discovered around every corner.

The three-mile beach at Kamalame Cay is a must. Take a leisurely tipple at the hotel's beach bar with its soothing ambient music. It’s been the perfect finish to many Bahamas weddings.
Cat Island
If you only take in one sight here, it must be The Hermitage - the fascinating ruins of the monastery on Mount Alvernia. But you’ll also never forget the romantic barefoot stroll you’ll have along the twelve km pink sand beach linking Old Bight and New Bight.
