Experience Bahamian life and learn our history by joining one or more of our Cultural Tours. Explore Nassau's historic forts, Fort Montague, Fort Charlotte and Fort Fincastle or take the elevator to the top of the Water Tower. Meet Bahamian people in their own homes. Learn about our centuries-old celebration of life and freedom at the Junkanoo Workshop, view Junkanoo costume pieces, learn the history of Junkanoo, and even create your own Junkanoo masks and Junkanoo music.
In the midst of a bustling 20th century city, step back in time and discover an 18th century architectural gem. This quaint historic landmark is named for its overhanging balcony and is thought to be the oldest wooden residential structure in The Bahamas. The Central Bank of The Bahamas purchased the building in 1985 and restored it to its original state with period furnishings. It is now a museum.
