Ardastra Gardens, Zoo and Conservation Centre has an indefinable charm and personal touch. There is a tranquility here that can't be bought or manufactured. Lose yourself along twisting forest trails, draped with mosses, vines and spectacular trees from 60 foot banyans to bananas. Admire the awesome canopy with its succulent mangos, sapodillas and breadfruit. Meander alongside the network of canals. You may spot a skulking heron or bashful bullfrog while watching hovering hummingbirds feed on hibiscus nectar. This five and a half acre escape of lush tropical garden is situated only a few minutes drive from downtown Nassau. Alternatively, the #10a bus will take you from Downtown Nassau to Arawak Cay, or any of our numerous Taxis will take you right to the zoo for just a few dollars. The zoo is open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm, with our famous marching flamingo shows at 10.30am, 2pm and 4pm daily - be sure to catch one for a memory that will last forever.
