Since January 1, 2007, the United States Department of Homeland Security has required all U.S. citizens and foreign nationals travelling to the United States from The Bahamas to present a valid passport or another secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States.
To enter The Bahamas, visitors are required to possess a passport that must be valid for six months beyond the dates of travel and, in the case of nationals requiring a visa to enter The Bahamas, a valid visa. You must also possess a return or onward journey ticket and proof of accommodation and sufficient funds to support the visit.
