Look for Bahamahost decal

To experience knowledgeable, professional Bahamian hospitality as you travel around The Bahamas, look for the Bahamahost sticker on taxicabs and jitneys. In 1978 the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism introduced the Bahamahost programme throughout the islands, to train Bahamians working in the hospitality industry. Managed by the National Bahamahost Association, the programme promotes professionalism, pride and education in field of hospitality to ensure visitors receive a proper welcome. The training familiarises all participants with correct and accurate information on the country’s history, geography, civics, economics, culture, flora, fauna and places of interest. Additional emphasis is placed on attitudinal training, teamwork and cooperation. Graduates of the programme are issued a Bahamahost identification badge, and vehicle owners are issued a Bahamahost sticker. All graduates are encouraged to display their badge or sticker with pride.
